Exercise
Modern life has evolved in a way that means many people don’t get regular exercise in their daily lives.
Exercise
benefits us all, no matter what our age and it's important to build in
some form exercise into our daily routines for a healthy life.
Exercising regularly has more benefits than you’d think, including:
- Maintaining healthy joints and muscles
- Managing weight
- Building a healthy immune system
- Boosts energy level and brain activity
- Improves feelings of self-confidence
Building
exercise into your routine doesn’t mean that you have to be getting up
at 5am and running a quick 10 miles everyday before work. The
government recommends that exercising 5 times a week, for 30 minutes
could produce significant health benefits for us all.

Clearly
depending on your age, 30 minutes of exercise will mean different
things to different people. Think of it as 30 minutes where your heart
beat is raised and you feel warm. So you don’t necessarily need to be
pumping iron in the gym; your 30 minutes could be a combination of
choosing to take the stairs instead of the lift, mowing the lawn or
even washing the car.
You'll be suprised at how easily
your 30 minutes of exercise can be achieved just by making small
conscious decisions in your life, such as walking to the shop to get a
paper instead of driving, walking to work instead of getting the bus or
even just when you see the sun shining, taking a wander around the
block.
Exercise is vital to our health and well-being, think how you can build regular exercise in to your routine, starting today.
