What is a Health Cash Plan?

We all know how important it is to keep ourselves healthy, how much better we feel from regular healthcare.

We also know how expensive these medical costs can be. Whether it's a trip to the Dentist or a new pair of glasses at the Opticians, it can be a bill for hundreds of pounds a time is hard to swallow along with all our other everyday expenses. If you have a family and may receive these kinds of medical bills several times a year an be even more difficult.

Health Cash Plans can save you literally hundreds of pounds a year on these very necessary costs and reduce the impact of these large healthcare bills on your everyday cashflow.

Health Cash Plans start from around 58p* per person a week, an achievable cost for most of us. Depending on the Health Cash Plan provider and the plan you choose these plans will cover between 50%-75% of costs.

For example if your new spectacles cost £200, your Health Cash Plan may reimburse you £150, meaning your spectacles have cost you only £50, a much more tolerable cost to accept.

Health Cash Plans are not Health Insurance, they pay out cash sums towards medical expenses often not covered by Health Insurance or the NHS.

Nurses to be rated on compassion

In new plans to be outlined in a forthcoming review by the Department of Health, nurses in the NHS are to be rated on the levels of care and empathy they give to patients, as well as the the traditional measures of their healthcare skills.
